A 21st Century Paradigm that promises to deliver an upscale destination on the South Side of Chicago. Our current thrust focuses on a nearly fifteen acre site in urban Chicago. This massive land base will enable us to create a glistening metropolis, inclusive of a cutting edge church campus, professional office space, viable branded hotels, a water park, conference center, restaurants, and some practical retail. Our objective is to enhance the landscape of urban Chicago while producing wealth creation, vocational opportunities, an educational hub, and a life changing focal point guaranteeing an incredible experience for all Chicagoans.
What is The Legacy Project?
The Legacy Project is a faith-based multi use economic development enterprise that promises to be “a must-go destination for professional workers, tourists, shoppers, conventioneers, and diners in Chicago”. Located on nearly fifteen acres in the 8500 block of South Lafayette (former Soft Sheen/L’Oreal site), this major development is intended to complement, not replace, adjacent shopping plazas and retailers while enhancing and providing an economic boost for the community.

Project Mission
Cultivating an Inheritance for Chicago’s South Side Community
The Legacy Project's vision is to add holistic value sociologically, educationally, recreationally, vocationally and economically by providing senior housing, and establishing branded commercial facilities that will enable us to provide needed quality amenities while creating an estimate of 500 new jobs in the urban inner-city of Chicago. Additionally, our model looks forward to programming to empower youth, fight recidivism, and serve the aging population.
The Legacy Project has seized this unprecedented opportunity in the historic West Chatham district of Chicago to manifest the destiny of the South Side community in a richly cultured, technologically relative, 21st century urban development. Brook Architecture began in 1995 as an architectural consulting organization specializing in commercial office interior design, project management and computer-aided construction documentation. The Carter Ware Group is a real estate firm that specializes in property sales, purchases and management; retail leasing; market research; development; and management consulting. Quest Development Group LLC, is a Chicago-based development company whose primary focus is the planning and development of mixed –use projects including retail/commercial space and multi-family housing. Since its formation in 1995, Quest has developed more than a dozen projects consisting of over 400 residential units and 28,000 square feet of commercial space and representing an asset value in excess of ten million dollars. Development & Objectives
One of the primary objectives of the Legacy Project is to improve the quality of life for the residents of the South Side of Chicago by offering amenities conducive to downtown living. The development includes office space, concert venues, upscale restaurants, conference halls, retail, hotels, a water park, family and senior residences.
